Korean Skincare Haul: Peach & Lily + Mikaela Beauty

Today, we’re going to be talking about skincare, more specifically, Korean skincare✨ I’ve ordered Korean skincare products from 2 websites: Peach and Lily + Mikaela Beauty and in the form of a haul, I’ll be sharing what I got with you. So let’s get this haul party started!

First up, we have skincare products from Mikaela Beauty:

Quick overview: To all my Canadian readers, this site is for you if you’re looking to purchase Korean skincare products! It is a Canadian based website which ships all its products from South Korea to Edmonton, Alberta. They have free shipping on orders over CAD 65 for orders within Canada. You can also order from this site if you are in the US – where you can get free shipping on orders over CAD 75.

I got quite a few samples with my order which made me really happy! They sent me a sample of the Pyunkang Yul essence toner, balancing gel, oil, nutrition gel and moisture serum. I also received the Klairs supple preparation all over lotion as well as Hemish all clean green foam and a mini all clean balm. You also get a small handwritten note with your order… a great personal touch!

My order:

Let us begin with the Cleansers… yes cleanserS, because in the Korean Skincare routine, double cleansing is a thing. We’re talking 1 oil cleanser and 1 water-based cleanser here. I can do a whole post around why one should double-cleanse if you are interested!

> 1st cleanser: Banilla Co. Clean it ZERO Balm (Original – reformulated)

First impression? Hello aesthetic packaging 😍

I have seen the original packaging of the product online before but Banilla Co. reformulated the product to meet customers needs and in that process, they also changed the packaging. What made me purchase this product is the countless reviews I’ve seen claiming that it just melts away your makeup and that it is a holy-grail product.

This ever so raved about product is one that I’m really excited to try and put to the test. I can’t wait to share my thoughts with you once I try it out.

Price: CAD 25.00

> 2nd cleanser: CosRX Good Morning Cleanser ($14)

I quite like the packaging of this product to be honest. It’s bright, minimal and fun! Also, this product was in fact the first item I added to my cart. I mean the pH of this cleanser is 5, upon reading that and finding out that this cleanser is sensitive skin friendly, I knew I wanted my hands on this product.

Price: CAD 11.00

Toner:

Klairs Supple Preparation Unscented Toner

Oh the packaging! So minimalistic plus I love the colour! If you are already familiar with the Klairs Supple Preparation Toner, you would know that this is the unscented version of that. It is specially made for those with sensitive skin as there are no essential oils in this product.

Price: CAD 24.00

I also ordered another toner, it is the famous, Pynkangul Toner – and this one is for my mom! She has also started using Korean Skincare herself (she currently uses products from The Face Shop and is really liking it so far). I thought I’d introduce her to this toner as it seems to fit what she was looking for in a toner – it has a gel-like consistency which absorbs quickly into the skin plus, it claims to provide intense hydration. Will it live up to the hype? We’ll have to see! I’ll check in with my mom after she uses a significant amount and I’ll try to give it a try myself at some point and then review it for you!

Pyukangul – Price: CAD 22.00

Moisturizer:

Mizon All in One Snail Repair Cream

Peach and Lily

This moisturizer is formulated with 92% snail extract. You read that right… SNAIL extract! This cream claims to hydrate and reduce the appearance of acne scarring and blemishes.

Price: $19 USD

Eye Cream:

Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream

This is a bestselling all in one eye cream which claims to hydrate, smooth fine lines and promote the brightening of dark circles. This tube contains 15ml of product but you can also get the full size for 25ml. This is my first time using an eye cream, I’m only 20 years old so I wanted to introduce myself to the product first, see if I will like it in the first place which is why I was glad to see that they offered a smaller size in the form of a tube.

Price: USD 9.00

Sunscreen:

Lagom

Lagom Sun Gel – A Peach and Lily best-seller which claims to be lightweight, so lightweight that on the website’s product description it even states that you won’t even remember you’re wearing it due to its lightweight factor. That’s a strong claim especially because most of the sunscreens I’ve tried in the past have not done that for me, so I definitely wanted to try this one out, hence I placed my order.

Price: USD 23.00

Sheet-masks:

Pictured above: Chubby Cheeks – lift + plum (USD $6.00) and Reset Button – soothe + restore (USD 6.00). I also got the Frudia bluebery sheet mask (USD 1.99) from the peach slices section of the website ^~^

A review of the products will follow shortly because with skincare products, in order to see results or get a better feel of the products itself, one must give it time. With that said, upon using these products for at least a month or two, I will give you all an honest review. Sounds like a plan? I sure am excited to let you know my thoughts on these products.

Have you tried any of the products in this haul? If so, please feel free to share your thoughts, xo.
